2026--Day 5

An easy day by comparison.  This was a down day, in which we weren't actively chasing by design.  Potential storms were too far away to catch, and trying for them would put us well out of reach for Tuesday's possible action.  As such, we toured the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  Looks a lot like Badlands, with bison and prairie dogs.

A pair of University Communication camera people have joined us today.  They're documenting our activities to use as footage for a mini-documentary highlighting our program.  Let's hope for some good action tomorrow! 

A short day today, starting and ending in North Dakota (Bowman and Bismarck, respectively).  Exactly 250 miles, for a total of 2513 so far.  Good night!
