I heard you missed me--I'm back!
Ok, I'm on another chase adventure with my friend Scott Steiger and his group. We left LeRoy, NY around 9 am in the rain (always a treat). The trip started west through NY and PA. Got a little action around Cleveland, as there was a severe thunderstorm warning for the area, but the area around I90 was cold, damp and foggy, with us being on the wrong side of a lake breeze boundary. Aside from some lightning, we missed the good stuff. Apparently some of the storms had rotation, but we saw none of that. Hope springs eternal...
The trip took us through Lorain (hi Dad) and on through northern Indiana, eventually into Illinois, land of a thousand toll booths. In an attempt to avoid getting shot in Chicago, we wound up paying a toll every seven feet.
Our trip on I90 at long last brought us to Sparta, Wisconsin. Landed at 12:30 am local time, about 840 miles from the start--a dubious personal record. Good night!
